What we liked:    This the place we stayed when I ran in my first ever agility trial!    We stayed in a BIG 2 bedroom apartment.   There was LOTS of room!   Even the kitchen was big.      Mama, Brady & me stayed in the nice bedroom.   It had a full size bed and windows overlookin the lake.    We was lucky we didn't stay in the other bedroom cause it was small.    It only had two little beds and NO windows.      If we crossed the street, we could go walkin along the lake.    That was fun!     Mama sed the view was beautiful, but me & Brady didn't really preciate it.

What we didn't like:   It was kind of a long drive to anything (even food!) - Bayfield was about a half hour away.    The apartment was really noisy!    We could hear peoples above us and all the traffic from outside.   There was a motorcycle rally going on all weekend, and those bikes were loud!     There was a little yard where dogs aren't allowed to go.  (We was supposed to walk across the busy street to take care of business.)     But, we went there a couple of times because the peoples who lived in the apartments took their dogs there.   One of the dogs was a big pit bull, and he wasn't wearnin no leash!

Extra Info:   Our pals Kai, Gypsy & Thor stayed at this place called Croll Cabins.   It was on the other side of the lake.   The cabin was smaller than our partmnet, and the hot water heater didn't work real good.   BUT, they had a fenced in yard!    And, they didn't have to cross no busy street to go to the lake!     It was right outside their door!   I'm hopin Mama will let us stay in one of those cabins next time!

We give it:

What I liked:    Well, we had our own little cabin.   It was called the Birdroom.   It was very pretty!    There was a real kitchen with a nice size frigerator for keeping all our food.    It even had a separate room for sleeping.     We could take long walks along the river.     The people who owned the cabins were REAL nice!   The people stayin there were really nice too.   I think most of them were going fishing during the day.   It was a real comfortable place to stay.

What I didn't like:   There wasn't anything close-by.    We had to drive at least 20 minutes to get food.    There's a nice walk along the river next to the property, but to do any real hiking you have to drive.

Would we go back:   Yes!

We give it:

What we liked:    We got a suite!   It was big!   There was a little place where there was a frigerator and a microwaver and a place for peoples eaten.     We had our own liven room!   Me and Solo really liked it and we ran around there a lot!   The bedroom was nice n large  too.   It had a big bed and its own TV.    One nite we called on the phone and somebody brought us up food!    We got to taste it, and it was a terrific hamberger.    Our room was nice an quiet.   The peoples was all real nice to us.   But, the bestest thing bout this hotel was the great walken spots.    There was lots of grass places that we could splore.   But, that's not even the bestest thing!    There was bunnies everywhere we went!!!    You couldn't go outside without seein a few bunnies.    It was wonderful!   Only bad thing was that we couldn't catch em cause we was wearen our flexileashes.   But, if we didn't have to wear leashes, I bet we coulda cought some bunnies.   (Don't know what we'd have done with em cause me an Solo never cot a bunny before.   BOL!)

What I didn't like:    Me and Solo liked everything bout this hotel!    But, there was some stuff mama didn't like.    Even tho we was sposed to get a suite, they messed up and our first room was jus a regular room.  I was sure glad they fixed that!    They only had one elebator that worked and so we always had to wait a long time, but that didn't bother me & Solo cause there was always interesten peoples and dogs to meet while we wated.     There was lots of other little things that mama sed was wrong.    She mite not want to come back here again.   But, me & Solo do, and we're gonna talk her into it!

Would we go back:   Probably

We give it:

What we liked:   The room was very nice.   There's an empty lot next to the hotel that's just great for walkin!    The peoples who worked at the hotel were really nice.    You couldn't ask for a place with more restaurants around it.   One night me & Solo got carry-out from Outback Steakhouse, and it was wonderful!   Another night we got a carry-out dinner from Cracker Barrel & it wasn't so good.    On the last night Mama ate at the Village Inn.   That place has the same parking lot as the hotel and was the most convenient place to eat.   We didn't get no left-overs from Village Inn, so me & Solo don't know if it was good or not.   Petco was just a couple of miles down the road, and that was real convenient.      We stayed here when I ran in an gility trial in Brighton.    I finally got my Novice AKC Standard title that weekend!!   (The hotel's about 15 minutes from the Adam's County Fairgrounds.)

What I didn't like:   The sound-proofing isn't great.   Most of the rooms have outside entrances, and maybe that had something to do with the noise.     There was lots of traffic around the hotel (no traffic noise inside, though) and it went slow, but that could be because there was construction goin on.

What we liked:   Wow, we LOVE the ranch!   Me & Brady don't have to wear no leashes on the ranch!   We just love runnin free!!    There's lots of room to explore.    80 acres!   Judy lives in the house.   We stay in one of the cabins.   There are just two cabins, and they're connected.  There's a door in the middle that locks.    You can cook in both halves of the cabin.   But, the Ponderosa side has an oven & full size fridgerator.  We don't care bout cookin!    We explore all day!   There are lots of horses.   Judy is nice to us, and so are the people who work on the ranch.     There are hundreds of trees for peeing on and lots of sticks for chasing!   I gotta tell you, there are some big bunnies livin on the ranch and lots of squirrels too.    I could spend all day just chasin bunnies.   Sometimes I do.   BOL!    And, smells!   Best smells of anywhere!    We saw deer right on the ranch!   One morning there was a fox right outside our cabin.   We wanted to chase it, but Mama wouldn't let us out.   We Barked and scared it real good, though.     The ranch is just 10 minutes from town, so we can get food real quick.  (Check out the bar-b-q in front of the hardware store.   It's really delicious!)       And, when we go to town we can swim in the river!    The ranch is our favoritest place on earth!       You can see all our ranch pictures:

Our first visit - we didn't want to leave!
Our first visit in 2005.
Our second visit in 2005.

What we didn't like:    When people are stayin in the other side of the cabin, you can hear all their noise.   Most of  the time, nobody's stayin there, but it's real annoyin when people are.   You gotta watch out for Judy's big dog.   He's kinda crazy around other dogs, but he's only out a little while each day.   Mama makes us stay inside when he's waunderin around.    Once he rolled me over an over.   I was real scared.   Luckily he had somethin over his mouth so he couldn't bite me!

Rating:

What we liked:   We got a BIG family-sized room.   It had a couch and two beds, a frigerator, and a microwave.     Mama sed they served a good breakfast in the restaurant, but we didn't get to taste it.

What we didn't like:   The dog walkin area is little.   They don't want people picken up after their dogs cause the poopy bags make the trash stink.  (Everybody put their little blue bags on the kerb.)   The hotel's kind of old.   It was a little noisy, and the water in the bathroom kept changing temperatures.

Would we go back:  Probably not cause it gets worser every time we stay here.

Rating:

What we liked:   The hotel was convenient to shopping & restaurants.   Our room was nice size.  Not real big, but lots bigger than a Motel 6!   There were nice grassy areas for taking walks.   There were lots of other dogs stayen there, and that made it more fun.     Solo liked the reclinen chair, and he slepted on it.

What we didn't like:   They closed the restaurant!   So, we didn't get the good carry-out steak again this year.  We got carry-out from the bar one nite, but it wasn't very good and they left lots of stuff out and mama had to go back and wate again.     The breakfast  was really great last year, but it's not good anymore!   The ice machines never worked and we tried both of em.   We thot they was fixen this place up, but it doesn't look like they did nothen cept in the places round the pool.    The peoples at the front desk aren't as nice as they used to be.

June 2006 Update:   There was some mean peoples stayen here and their dog got too close to Solo even tho mama warned em that Solo didn't like other dogs runnen up to em.   That dog was on a really long leash that was tied to their room someplace.    Course Solo wasn't happy.  And the mean peoples sed they was gonna kill us if Solo bit their dog that came runnen up to em.    (Solo was on his short leash and didn't go anywheres by their dog.)   They threatened mama too and a big man who was jus covered in grease blocked mama's way.   The lady called mama all sorts of names that me & Solo didn't understand.   We went to the front desk, and the people there didn't help at all!   They sed the mean peoples was stayen there a whole month.   Guess that made em more portant than us.    We was worried the mean loud peoples would do somethin to our van!   It was jus awful.     This hotel gets worse every time we stay here.   Last year we gave it 3 1/2 bones.    When we stayed here in February, it only got 2 1/2 bones cause it wasn't as good.    Now, we're given it almost no bones cause this last time was just awful!     It was SO bad this time we mite go back to the Best Western cause at least we wasn't scared there.

What we liked:   We had a nice big room.    It had its own kitchen, and even had a sun room!    Me & Brady preciated all the space and liked having a frigerator to keep our treats.    Crystal was nice to us and everybody we met there was nice too.    The room was quiet and the bed was comfy.     We was just two blocks from Cheesman Park.   That's a nice park, and we really enjoyed runnen round there.    All the time there were baked treats in the breakfast room.

What we didn't like:   This place is on a really busy street.   We had to be extra careful cause of all the traffic!

We give it:

What we liked:   This is where we stayed when I ran in my first-ever AKC trial!   I only got to run one time.    But, I did real good and had lots of fun!    The room was large.    There was a really nice grassy place for walkin.   Our room was quiet and kinda pretty.   The bed was very comfortable.   There was a Burger King and Denny's right next door, but we didn't get to eat there.    There's other food just a couple miles away.    The first night we had Yung's restaurant deliver.    The food sure smelled good!    But, me & Brady didn't get to taste it cause it was spicy.   This hotel is an OK place to spend a night or two, specially cause the room was nice & big and had two beds in it.   (We was in room 121.)

What we didn't like:   Well, there was ants in the room.   That didn't bother us too much.   Heard Mama say somethin bout mold in the shower, but me and Brady didn't care about that either.    The peoples workin at the front desk weren't real friendly and they didn't do their jobs too good.   Our key didn't work at first, but after a while we got one that did.       The phone didn't work either even tho we paid with a credit card.   We had to ask to get it turned on (so we could get the food delivered!).   We didn't get to eat the breakfast cause it was just donuts & muffins and we're not allowed to eat that stuff.

Would we go back:   You bet

We give it:

What we liked:   The people were really nice.     The room was comfortable and big.      They had a really good free breakfast.  The room had a frigerator.   There was no microwave, but there was one downstairs in the breakfast room that we could use.   The dog walk area was nice.   It took about 10 minutes to get to Greeley.      We went for walks in Greeley, and they had a really good park.    The hotel charges extra for dogs, but because Brady was doing gility we didn't get charged too much.   Petsmart was just 2 miles away.

What we didn't like:   Nothing.    This was a nice hotel and we liked it a lot.

Would we go back:   Yes!
We give it:

What we liked:   The rooms are big.   If you get a room with a king size bed (it's called an Executive King), there's a frigerator & microwave in the room.  The people who work there are really nice to us.   This is a really convenient place to stay.   There are pet stores that are close.   There are many restaurants very close-by.  We usually get carry-out from Outback Steakhouse.   It's about a block from the hotel, Solo & I enjoy the food.    The hotel is just a few miles from Jefferson County Fairgrounds.   So, it's really convenient for agility trials.    This is one of our favorite hotels.     (We like stayin in room 155 or room 107.    They're both looken out to the courtyard area and are close to the outside door.)

What we didn't like:   The dog walkin area isn't very good.    But, we get lots of exercise in the big room & doin agility, so we don't mind too much.

We give it:

What we liked:   This hotel was real special to Brady & Mama cause we stayed there before Brady's first ever agility trial!   The room was nice & big.   The hotel was real convenient to the fairgrounds where Brady ran.    We understand it's changed a lot since we stayed there last fall.   It was renevated and is fancier now.

What we didn't like:   No real complaints.   Now that it's a Radisson, it's lots more expensive, so we don't have plans to stay there again anytime soon.

What we liked:   This is a terrific hotel!     We had a one bedroom suite.   It had a kitchen, a living room, bathroom, and a nice bedroom.   The living room had a little couch, a chair, a couple of tables, a TV, and a gas fireplace.   I thought the fireplace was really neat!    Our suite was really big - bigger than the cabins we've stayed at.   Mama didn't cook in the kitchen cause we got carry-out.    Of course, we got Outback one night!   It was just a couple of miles from the hotel.   There were LOTS of restaurants and stores really close.     Even a Petsmart!    There was a great dog walkin area at this hotel!    The peoples was really nice to us.    It was very close to the fairgrounds where I was doin agility.      They did charge Mama's credit card $50 for a deposit cause of me & Solo.   But, we was good boys so she got it back.    We didn't have to pay no extra for every night just cause we're dogs.

What we didn't like:   Nothin.   Me & Solo thought this place was great, and we wanna stay here again!

We give it:

What we liked:    This motel has a great area for walkin!   Because the outdoor swimmen pool wasn't open, we had that whole fenced-in area to run & play.   It was great!    The room was nice & big.   It had a frigerator and microwave.    The windows looked out to the indoor swimmen pool & hot tubs.     This place is REAL convenient to shopping and food.   They got all new beds and they was really comfortable.    This hotel is really close to the agility trial.   Unless you're visiting during the summer (when the outdoor pool is open), we recommend getting a room that faces the outdoor pool.

What we didn't like:    Our room was really loud cause it was right off the indoor pool.   You could hear every splash somebody made in that swimmin pool.   This hotel is kinda old, and it really shows.    They're making changes so maybe it'll be better next time.   The lady at the front desk wasn't nice at all.    Even when the motel made mistakes (like maken it so our room keys didn't work the 2'nd day), she sed it was our fault.    We didn't ask for a room right by the swimmen pool cause of the noise, but she sed we did.   On Friday night, there was a bunch of mens stayen in the room right next to ours, and they started getten really loud.     We called the front desk, and I guess we weren't the only ones cause the lady sounded real annoyed and sed they was taken caare of it.     They had a breakfast in the mornen but it wasn't near as good as last year, and there was nothen there that me and Solo was allowed to eat.

Last  year we gave this motel three bones.   But, this year it lost 1/2 of a bone cause it was louder and the peoples was mean.

What we liked:   The rooms was nice and big.   It had a frigerator and microwave.   There were good places for walking.    Wonderful walking in National parks that are close by.    The town of Lyons is close too, and the St. Vrain River runs right through town.    I really enjoyed walking in the park and cooling off in the river.   The people who work here are very friendly.

What we didn't like:   It was a little loud.  The pond seems to attract lots of mosquitoes.    The worse thing is that it was really hot!    Mama brought a fan from home, but it didn't help much.    We wouldn't want to stay there in the summer again, but it would probably be lots of fun in the spring or fall.

What we liked:    This is the best Motel 6 we've stayed at so far!   We got a room with a big kitchen!   It had a frigerator, microwave, and even a stove.   There was a little table with two chairs too.   Best thing about haven a kitchen was all the extra space for me & Solo to run round in!    The rest of the room was like the other Motel 6's we stayed at.   It had 2 beds, a comfy chair, and a little TV & dresser.   The bathroom didn't have no tub - just a shower.    That made Solo REAL happy cause he likes to roll round in showers!    The walken area was pretty good, and there was lots of restaurants really close.        (Good thing cause mama didn't use that kitchen to do no cooken!   BOL!)

What we didn't like:   We could hear the peoples above us walken round some of the time.   But, it wasn't too bad.

What we didn't like:   Broken air conditioning.   Dirty rooms.    Trash not emptied and beds not made.    The noise!    People at the front desk weren't very nice.   Scary drunk people staying there.    This is the worse place Brady & I have ever stayed!

What we liked:    There's a lake behind the property.   The woman at the front desk was nice when I told her we couldn't stay there

What we didn't like:   Because Brady & Solo never even saw the inside of this place, I'm writing the review.    First, the location - across the street from a truck stop.   Next door to an adult book & video store.     The hotel had advertised a restaurant but it is closed indefinitely.   The nearest restaurant is several miles away.    The room we were assigned was awful.    It was tiny - barely enough space to walk beside the bed.   The furniture was falling apart.   The room was also dark with few lights.    I have never checked out of a hotel room without staying there before.   But, I couldn't stay here.     We drove to the Days Inn in Golden where we were lucky enough to get one of our usual Executive King rooms.    The Days Inn is more expensive, but, it's definitely worth it!

What we liked:    This Motel 6 was MUCH better than the other one we stayed at last year!    There was a pretty good grassy area for walken.    The room was kinda small, but it was plenty big for Mama, Solo and me.   Me and Solo really liked it that there was 2 beds!    We slept in one bed and Mama slept by herself in the other one.   We liked haven a bed all to ourselves!    There was a Chinese restaurant that delivered some really tasty food.   (It was called New China.)     We like it when peoples come to the door and bring us food!    The peoples at the front desk of this hotel was really nice, and one of the ladies was real cited to say hello to us.

What we didn't like:   Sometimes we could hear the noises from other rooms.    Didn't bother me and Solo too much, though.

May, 2006 Update:   Our 2'nd stay here wasn't as good.   The man at the front desk wasn't very nice.    And, when he forgot to get all mama's information, he didn't call our room.  Instead he put the message lite on and it made a real noying noise.    Our room didn't get cleaned between nights either.

What we liked:    We went here for my second birthday!    This was a really nice cabin with a big dog walkin area.    The cabin had a big bed, a couch, a little dining table, and a cute little kitchen.      Brady & me liked havin food really close by.   There were lots of close great places for hiking too!     Mama liked having somebody cleanin up every day and connecting to a wireless network (whatever that is).    All the people that worked there were really nice to us!   Mama enjoyed the breakfast they made over at the hotel, but she didn't share with us.    Our cabin  was close to the road, but we didn't hear no noise.   (We was in cabin 2, and cabin 5 was the furthest from the road.)    This is one of the quietest places we ever stayed.    Next to Judy's cabin on the horse ranch, this is our MOST favorite place to stay so far!    You can look at our pictures if you want.

What we didn't like:     We'd have given this place 5 bones, but we had to wear a leash all the time, and we don't give no place our highest rating unless we can run free.

Update:   A few days after we stayed at the cabin, we got a Thank You note!    Nobody ever sent us a Thank You before.   Guess they really liked me & Brady!   They sent some wildflower seeds with the card, and that was nice.   But, cookies would have been better.   BOL!
